Online Counseling

“There are only two ways to live your life.

One is as though nothing is a miracle.

The other is as though everything is a miracle.”

 ― Albert Einstein

A Texan by birth and at heart, I am a global nomad, having lived in several countries and traveled extensively since I was 7 years old (that’s a LONG time!) I have lived several places in the US, and I’ve lived abroad in the Philippines, Lebanon, Uruguay, Saudi Arabia, Indonesia, and yes….Texas. As they say, “It’s a whole other country!”

I lived abroad as a child, as an adolescent and as a young wife and parent. I know well the challenges and the joys of living in a foreign country from all three perspectives…the excitement and fear of the move, the homesickness, the culture shock, the fun of exploring new places and peoples, the richness of the relationships with other expats and people native to the host country, the heartbreaking goodbyes, the fulfillment of long-lasting distant relationships.

When we meet online, our session will be as close to in-person counseling as we can make it. We will discuss your needs and ways to handle the upsets and challenges of life. Whether you live abroad or right here in Texas, online counseling is a convenient solution to some of the barriers to getting effective help.

I am dually licensed in Texas as a Marriage & Family Therapist (License #201301) and a Professional Counselor (License #65187). I am also a Registered Play Therapist. Although I am limited in the ability to offer play therapy online, I can provide great parent coaching and help you understand your child’s development.

I am currently pursuing a Distance Counseling Credential so I can offer you the best online counseling experience. If you are interested in online counseling, call me and we will decide together if it’s a good choice for you.

While online therapy therapy has a number of advantages, there are also many drawbacks. Learn more about the pros and cons of online therapy. Read More here.
